Donors

The Doniphan County Community Foundation simplifies charitable giving. One contribution may address a number of needs or benefit multiple organizations in our community. The donor may, if he or she wishes, determine the method and the time frame.

As a public charity, the foundation can provide substantial tax advantages, enabling individuals and corporations to further their own philanthropic goals. In addition, donors can avoid the high costs associated with setting up a private foundation by utilizing the Foundation as the conduit for their charitable giving.

The foundation has the flexibility to respond to changing conditions in the community. If the original intended use of the gifts is no longer in existence or available, the donor, his or her heirs, or the Foundation Board can direct the fund to other uses closely related to the donor's interests.
